HCMC Police celebrate 80th Anniversary of People’s Security Force

The Vietnam People’s Public Security Forces respectfully cherish the profound sentiments, deep concern and invaluable contributions of Lao National Assembly Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane to consolidating and strengthening the cooperative relations between the public security forces of the two nations.

The Executive Committee of the Public Security CPV Organization and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a grand ceremony, on the morning of August 8 in Hanoi, to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Economic Police Force (August 10, 1956 – August 10, 2026), and present the Hồ Chí Minh Order to the Economic Police Force.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Finals of the 2026 People's Public Security Forces’ Military Regulations, Martial Arts, and Sports Games, on the evening of August 1, at East Sea Park (Da Nang City).

The decision to promote Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General reaffirms the recognition of the Party and the State of the People's Public Security Forces (PPSF). It is a source of joy and pride for the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, and all officers and soldiers of the PPSF, as well as a personal honor for the Deputy Minister, his family and his hometown.

Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang praised Leonardo S.p.A. as one of leading high-tech industrial groups of Italy and Europe, with strengths spanning defence, security, aerospace, helicopters, electronics and digital technologies. He noted the company's extensive experience in cybersecurity, command-and-control systems, radar, sensors, border surveillance and the protection of critical infrastructure.
