At the meeting, Minister To Lam pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations in implementing Scheme 06 in localities, stressing that leaders of some localities have not been very aware of the importance of the project; as a result, the implementation of the Scheme is still not comprehensive and effective. 

Additionally, there are not enough personnel and means for operating public services. 

The minister revealed that some localities have not had officials in charge of implementing the project so there have been a large number of online public service documents are waiting to be handled.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City said that the city is meeting lots of difficulties in implementing the project, especially the lack of IT human resources and equipment.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that the city’s Department of Information and Communications check information and network security as soon as possible while other departments should provide and synchronize data, especially social security data, with the city’s database so as to accelerate the implementation of the project.

He also suggested that Ho Chi Minh City point out specific problems and difficulties so as to discuss together and find solutions for them. The deputy minister said that in the coming time, he will lead a delegation to check the implementation of the project in any communes or wards.
