A delegation of the Central Inter-sectoral Coordination Council on Legal Asistance in Legal Proceedings led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung inspected the legal asistance in legal proceedings in Hung Yen province, on July 31.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van said that the People's Committee of Hung Yen province regularly directed the Provincial Inter-sectoral Coordination Council on Legal Assistance in Legal Proceedings, local proceeding-conducting agencies, the Provincial Department of Justice, the State Legal Aid Center to draw up guiding documents and plans to effectively implement the 2017 Law on Legal Assistance, contributing to solving legal problems for people in general and legal aid beneficiaries in particular.
The local police, People's Procuracy, People's Court, Provincial Military Command have coordinated with the Department of Justice to effectively implement Joint Circular No. 10/2018/TTLT-BTP-BCA-BQP-BTC- TANDTC-VKSNDTC (Joint Circular No. 10) issued on June 29, 2018 by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy on coordination in providing legal assistance in legal proceedings.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highly appreciated the results of the implementation of Joint Circular No. 10 of Hung Yen province, and answered queries on legal assistance in legal activities in Hung Yen province.
The Deputy Minister suggested that the Standing Party Committee of Hung Yen province lead the political system in the province and the local agencies in charge of proceedings to seriously observe the laws and legal documents on legal assistance while the Provincial People's Committee should create favorable conditions for the Provincial Inter-sectoral Coordination Council on Legal Assistance in Legal Proceedings to operate effectively in Hung Yen province.
