Launching the CAND Online Chinese edition

PSNews – The Public Security (CAND) Newspaper on January 26 held a meeting with outstanding collaborators and launched the CAND Online Chinese edition.

Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and made a keynote speech at the event.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Vu Khoan, former Deputy Prime Minister; leaders and former leaders of the Central agencies, MPS and relevant agencies.

Vietnam faced both advantages and disadvantage, opportunities and difficulties in socio-economic development in 2017. This situation left various impacts on the press of Vietnam in general and the CAND Newspaper in particular. However, reporters and all staff members of the newspaper still tried their best to fulfill their tasks, said Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper.

Among various activities and achievements gained by the CAND Newspaper in 2017, the Editor-in-Chief highlighted its efforts to cover promptly activities and good deeds of the public security forces and the people in the fight against crimes as well as hot issues in terms of economics, culture, society, security and order at home and overseas.

The CAND Newspaper also held various online conferences to discuss various topics, drawing big attention from readers. These topics included issues of public concern, such as “Preventing fraud in BOT projects” and “Fire prevention and fighting”.

Particularly, the CAND Newspaper managed to mobilize some VND 20.5 billion to support people facing extreme difficulties from all over Vietnam

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh praised the contribution of the CAND Newspaper to the achievements of the whole Public Security Forces.

He also noted that Vietnam continues to see both advantages and challenges in 2018.

He highlighted that the CAND Newspaper and its collaborators would play an important role in supporting and encouraging the public security forces to successfully fulfill their missions.

Also at the event, the CAND Newspaper introduced and launched the CAND Online Chinese edition, which is the third one of the CAND Newspaper Online, apart from the Vietnamese and English ones.
