Minister To Lam checks task performance of Hoa Binh Police

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security on February 7, led a delegation to pay a working visit to the Hoa Binh Provincial Police.

The delegation was joined by Lieutenant General Tran Van Ve, Acting Director of the Police General Department; Major General Luong Tam Quang, Head of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office; and representatives of under-ministerial agencies. The working session was also attended by leaders of the Hoa Binh Province.

At the working session, Senior Colonel Pham Hong Tuyen, Director of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police briefed Minister To Lam and the delegates on the task performances of the unit in 2017, emphasizing that the Hoa Binh Provincial Police concentrated on implementing the action slogan launched by the Ministry of Public Security in 2017 “Renovation, initiative, discipline, responsibility and effectiveness,” and successfully fulfilled all assigned tasks.

The Hoa Binh Provincial Police actively advised Party organizations and authorities at all level to mobilize the comprehensive strength of the whole political system and direct local forces to maintain local security and order effectively.

As a result, they destroyed many dangerous criminal gangs; the rate of handled cases increased, with 100% of serious criminal case solved. The movement of “All people protecting national security” has been well expanded and maintained while various effective models were duplicated. Meanwhile, Party building and force building work also gained many positive results.

Addressing the event, Minister To Lam recognized and praised positive achievements of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police in recent time.

He also stressed that the situation in the region and world is changing quickly, which poses new risks and challenges to the country. Meanwhile, hostile forces continue implementing their “Peaceful evolution” strategy with the use of religious and ethnic issues as tools to undermine the nation. He then urged the Hoa Binh Provincial Police to continue serving as a bridge between the people and the authorities in mobilizing the people to well implement policies of the Party and observe the laws of the State. 

They were also asked to promote and duplicate good models of the movement “All people protecting national security”; to actively participate in the struggle against wrong views and plots of hostile forces; to step up the fight against crimes; and to participate in settling complicated conflicts, contributing to ensuring security and order in the locality.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam presented 60 gifts to reputable people and village headman in the province; handed gifts and extended greetings to the Hoa Binh Province and the Hoa Binh Provincial Police.

The Hoa Binh Provincial People Committee and the Police also offered 120 gifts to reputable people and village headman in the province on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year Holiday.

Earlier on same day, Minister To Lam and the delegation of the Hoa Binh Province paid a visit and presented 300 gifts to village heads, reputable people and families in extremely difficult states in the two communes of Hang Kia and Pa Co in Mai Chau district, with the hope that the local people would soon overcome their difficulties in life, and have a happy New Year.
