Minister To Lam works with Quang Binh Provincial Police

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), paid a working visit to the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department on December 17.

At the working session, Major General Tu Hong Son, Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department briefed Minister To Lam and the delegation on the task performance of the department in 2018.The report read that the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department has exerted all-out efforts to maintain stable political security, social order and safety in Quang Binh over the year. 

The department also thoroughly grasped and closely followed situational developments, and opportunely advised the Quang Binh authorities to appropriate approaches to dealing with complex cases regarding social order and security, such as paying compensations for victims of marine environmental incidents, dealing with land disputes or handling law offenders in the cover of fighters for freedom and democracy to sabotage the country.

Moreover, the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department promoted measures to ensure traffic order and safety, contributing to reducing the rate of traffic accidents while spreading the movement "All-people protecting national security".

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam highly appreciated the achievements of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department while and praised the local police force for their solidarity and great contributions to Quang Binh’s development. 

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam instructed the Public Security Forces in general and the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department in particular to realize the Political Bureau's Directive No.48 on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in preventing and fighting against crimes in the current situation".

According to the minister, the department should actively take professional measures to always grasp any situational developments and suggest optimal solutions to the issues.

General Lam emphasized that the local police should also overcome their weaknesses in their professional work while mobilizing their efforts to quickly solve key cases related to drug crimes, losses of State property and corruption. Regarding the posting of officers and soldiers to commune-level posts, the department should soon draw up a concrete and rational plan while all officers and soldiers should keep in mind the spirit of "Policemen working for the people".

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam thanked the authorities of Quang Binh for supporting and providing favourable conditions for the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department in particular and the Public Security Forces in general to successfully fulfill their missions assigned by the Party, State and people.
