According to reports at the working session, the Provincial Police of Quang Ninh actively advised local Party committees and authorities to implement various measures to ensure security and order, and protected safety for important political events and activities of leaders of the Party and State and international delegation in the province.

The provincial police also maintained political security while actively prevented and suppressed crimes, stamped out 49 criminal gangs and arrested 259 criminals.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam stressed that Quang Ninh is a key locality in terms of political security. As the province has both inland and maritime border and  serves as a tourist hub, it has, at the same time, to focus on a number of issues regarding public order and security, management of exit and entry, management of foreign residence, and prevention and fight against crimes, including dangerous crimes like organized crime, transnational crime, economic crime, “black credit” and drug-related crime.

Minister To Lam asked the Quang Ninh Provincial Police to well perform their main functions and missions, and pay more attention to the deployment of professional police officers to communal posts.

He also urged the local police to promote crime prevention and combat with the aim of maintaining a peaceful and safe life of the people.

The Minister also requested the provincial police to coordinate closely with relevant agencies under the Ministry to resolutely fight drug-related crimes, intensify management over drug addicts, and make special efforts to fight high-tech crimes and crimes involving foreigners.
