The webinar connected delegates from the Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security and the 63 provincial-level police departments.
At the meeting, under the chair of Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, delegates presented 16 reports, evaluating the situation and highlighting the work results in the first quarter, as well as pointing shortcomings and recommending solutions.
Several reports underscored the fight against hostile forces’ fake and false information against the Party and State and acts of sabotage.
Concluding the conference, Minister To Lam requested all public security agencies and units to protect absolute safety of key projects, premises, and important political, cultural and social event in the future with a focus on ensuring security and order during meetings of the Party Central Committee, National Assembly sessions, Hung King's death anniversary, April 30 and May 1 holidays.
The Minister underlined that public security agencies and units should proactively grasp the situation, prevent and defeat all plots and activities of hostile and reactionary forces while having plans for any contingencies.
In the field of ensuring social order and safety, the Minister noted that it is necessary to replicate typical fire prevention and fighting models, including inter-family fire safety and fighting models.
In terms of traffic order and safety, the local police should enhance tests of alcohol concentration, as well as handle illegally oversized and overloaded vehicles.
At the same time, police forces in localities should accelerate the implementation of the Government's Project 06, complete their database system and software to create favorable conditions for people to carry out administrative procedures and public services on the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security.
