MPS offers medical supplies to foreign law enforcement agencies amid COVID-19 pandemic

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) presented 60,000 face masks to the US Embassy in Vietnam. These face masks will be delivered to six U.S. law enforcement agencies, supporting them to prevent COVID-19.

Reportedly, the MPS has offered various medical supplies for the prevention and control of COVID-19 to its partners in affected countries.

The MPS’s supports for foreign law enforcement agencies in the past time have also contributed to realizing the policy of the Party and the State of Vietnam in promoting international cooperation in the fight against the pandemic.

Earlier, General To Lam, Vietnamese Minister of Public Security, also sent letters to leaders of Home Affairs and law enforcement agencies of ASEAN countries, China, the US, Russia, the UK, France, Italy to name but a few, exchanging situations and sharing approaches to control the pandemic.

Over the past time the MPS has also presented medical equipment, including thousands of face masks, gloves, protective suits, worth some one billion VND, to a number of its foreign partners in of the Czech Republic, the UK, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Under the directions of the Vietnamese MPS, police units in the border provinces also boosted cooperation with their counterparts from Laos and Cambodia also in preventing and controlling the pandemic and supported them with medical equipment.

The Foreign Relations Department under the MPS on April 15 presented 10,000 face masks to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran.

The Foreign Relations Department is also completing the procedures to grant masks to law enforcement agencies of the Russia, Japan and Republic of Korea.
