Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Head of the Central Steering Committee for the “All people protecting national security” movement, and Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee Lam Van Man co-chaired the ceremony.

In the 2018 – 2024 period, the work of building the “All people protecting national security” movement as well as duplicating typical models and examples in ethnic minority communities in the Southwest has received comprehensive leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, close coordination of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front chapters and mass organizations of all levels, and strong support of people from all walks of life in the Southwest.

According to reports, 891 typical collective models and 260 individual examples have been built, bringing about wide and positive influence in border areas, ethnic minority and religious communities, as well as in local agencies, companies, educational institutions and other organizations.

At the ceremony, representatives of the typical models and examples shared their hands-on experiences in effectively developing the “All people protecting national security” movement, discussed their learnt lessons and proposed approaches to improve the efficiency of the movement in the coming time.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Steering Committee for the “All people protecting national security” movement, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung acknowledged and praised the outstanding localities, units, agencies, organizations and individuals for their achievements in building the movement and duplicating typical models and examples in ethnic minority communities in the Southwest.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that police forces at all levels should further play their core and pioneering role in building and spreading the movement, closely cooperate with local Vietnamese Fatherland Front committees, agencies, branches, unions, socio-political organizations, advise the local authorities on measures to effectively implement all guidelines and directions of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Steering Committee for the “All people protecting national security” movement. He underscored, the local police units should draw up work plans and programs with specific tasks to promote the movement in line with the nature and conditions of ethnic minority communities in the Southwest region.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung awarded MPS certificates of merit to 27 typical collectives and 41 typical individuals for their outstanding achievements in the “All people protecting national security” movement in ethnic minority communities in the Southwest.
