Police in Quang Ninh province requested to ensure local security and order

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long worked with leaders of Quang Ninh province on the work of ensuring order and security in the province, on the afternoon of July 19.

The meeting saw Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province Cao Tuong Huy, and leaders of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department and local agencies.

At the meeting, leaders of Quang Ninh province affirmed that the local leadership always pays due attention to strengthening the local police force, which plays the core role in ensuring security and safety in the province. 

Leaders of the province also maintained coordination mechanisms between the police and local forces in implementing the tasks of the Ministry of Public Security, and the province always grasped the order and security situation in the province, carefully considered economic development projects in association with security and defense.

As a result, the province achieved positive results in ensuring local order and security.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long asked Quang Ninh province to step up the implementation of security projects, including a wharf to serve the work of ensuring security in the province and neighboring areas, construction of the National Training Center for Counter-Terrorism in Quang Yen Town, project to build barracks housing for units of the Ministry of Public Security stationed in the province. 

At the same time, local leaders should pay attention to directing relevant local agencies to provide additional land and budget for the local police a model prison managed by the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department.
