Tran Thi Ha, 36, of Long Khanh Town, Dong Nai, has been charged with multiple violations after she refused to cooperate with local traffic police on Tuesday morning.
Ha was driving her seven-seater van on National Highway 51 at around 7:45 am when she was asked to pull over following her failure to comply with traffic light signals.
As the officers approached the vehicle, the woman attempted to escape by driving her car away.

She was eventually stopped by the police after they gave chase for about two kilometers, but she insisted on staying inside the car when asked for a driving license and other related documents.
At around 9:00 am the same day, the officers decided to tow Ha’s car to their station.
The offender was subsequently charged with six counts of traffic violation, including failure to abide with by traffic lights and traffic police, failing to produce a driving license when requested, driving a vehicle uninsured, driving without proper registration papers, and failure to produce other paperwork.
In addition to a combined fine of VND4.6 million (US$206.2), Ha also had to pay for the towing.
The woman is currently a CEO of a foreign company in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.
