Police’s good performance contributing to local socio-economic development

PSNews-The Hai Duong Provincial Police organized a conference to review its task performance and implementation of the movement "Protecting National Security" in 2016 as well as to release a working plan of police and an emulation movement for 2017.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council attended the event.

In 2016, the Hai Duong Provincial Police successfully fulfilled 6 key tasks. In the field of national security, thoroughly grasping the motto "proactive security", the Hai Duong Provincial Police deployed synchronous measures and well understood the local situations, denying any complicated issues and contributing significantly to local socio-economic development.

In terms of social order and safety, the force succeeded in gradually curbing criminal activities in the province. They also well carried out and expanded the “All people protecting national security” movement.

Party organizations and leaders of the Hai Duong Provincial Police deployed intensively and extensively many emulation movements, and  improved the quality of its staff and efficacy of its professional work.

Many individuals and teams with outstanding achievements in the movements have been honored and praised by local people and authorities at all levels.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam praised and appreciated the good outcomes gained by officers and soldiers of the Hai Duong Provincial Police in 2016.

Mr. Lam also expressed his delight at the fine outcomes of the 2016 socio-economic development of Hai Duong, noting that  the provincial police contributed its part to these achievements.

Minister To Lam asked Hai Duong Provincial Police to continue to improve quality of its staff to meet the task requirements; actively mobilize and promote resources of techniques and logistics for the force’s operations and work.

The Minister also urged the provincial police department to deploy measures to prevent and suppress crimes, maintaining social order and safety. The provincial police force should increase mass mobilization activities and promote the movement “All people protecting national security”; quickly overcome all shortcomings and obstacles.  In the immediate future, first priorities should be given to the protection of security and safety, creating a peaceful environment for the people to celebrate the 2017 Lunar New Year.
