Immediately after a number of COVID-19 cases was detected in the community starting from July 25, the MPS’s Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control has asked all public security units and agencies to strictly follow the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 19 on pandemic prevention and control, and take drastic measures to prevent the disease from speading further in the community.

The Da Nang Municipal Police Department and the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department have urgently deployed their forces to the pandemic-hit areas, inspected all households and tracked down all those related to the COVID-19 patients.

The police forces also coordinated with the health sector and local authorities to quarantine and test COVID-19 suspects while ensuring security and safety in concentrated quarantine zones and isolated areas.
