Public Security Force to ensure security and safety for Party congresses at all levels

The Sub-committee on Security and Order for the organization of Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress under the Ministry of Security (MPS) on February 19 held itssecond meeting.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, head of the sub-committee, chaired the meeting.

The meetingalso saw the presence of deputy heads of the subcommittee, including Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the meeting, Major General ToAn Xo, Chief of MPS’s Ministerial Office, standing member of the sub-committee briefed delegates on the major results of the task performance of the sub-committee after the first meeting and its working plan in the coming time.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc urged relevant public security agencies and units to effectively prevent and immediately defeat any possible terrorist conspiracies and sabotage activities from the grassroots-level to maintain security and safety for the organization of Party congresses.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and praised the working results of relevant units over the past time. He also lauded other members of the subcommittee for their sound leadership over the implementation of the assigned tasks and plans.

Regarding further direction, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam stated that all relevant public security agencies and units must try their best to protect absolute security and safety for Party congress at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress, affirming that this is their key task in the 2020-21 period.

In addition, all public security agencies and units should attach great importance to inspecting and verifying the political backgrounds, morals, professional expertise and leadership of candidates for the upcoming Party congresses.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked the Ministerial Office, which serves as the standing body of the sub-committee, to develop a specific working plan while regularly inspecting and directing all public security agencies and units to complete their assigned political tasks. Meanwhile, public security agencies and units must regularly report results of their task performances to the Ministerial Office.
