Public Security Forces’ former leaders gather on its 75th founding anniversary

The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting with senior leaders of the Government who used to work with the Public Security Forces.

This event, which was chaired by General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, took place on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces and the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day on August 10, 2020.

The meeting saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, former Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Pham Minh Chinh, former Deputy Minister of Public Security; Head of the the Party Central Committee’s Commissions for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, former Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office Nguyen Van Nen, former Head of the Go Dau District Police Station in Tay Ninh province,  Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh, former Deputy Director General of the Police General Department among other delegates.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious traditions and as well as the achievements and exploits made by the Public Security Forces during 75 years of development. They also expressed their gratitude to thousands of public security officers and soldiers who bravely sacrificed their blood and lives in the fight against crimes.

Minister To Lam briefed the delegates on outstanding task performance results of the Public Security Forces over the past time. On behalf of the entire Public Security Forces, he thanked the Party, the State, the people for their supports for the forces. He affirmed that the Public Security Forces will be absolutely loyal to the Party and State, firmly safeguard national security and wholeheartedly serve the people.

Speaking at the meeting, all delegates stated that they will further support the building of professional, elite and gradually modernized Public Security Forces, deserving to be the “sharp sword” to protect the Party, the State as well as the peace and happiness of the people.
