Implementing the directions of the Prime Minister on bracing for Typhoon No.3 and overcoming its aftermath, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security requested heads of involved under-ministerial departments and police departments of storm-hit provinces to:

Drastically, seriously and effectively brace for Typhoon No.3 and protect the safety of people and assets in line with the directions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Public Security while ensuring security and order in the areas.

Proactively advise local authorities to support families affected by the typhoon, especially policy beneficiary families and those losing their homes in natural disasters.

Carry out search and rescue for missing people, employ professional measures to the identification of victims and provide medical treatment for injured people.

Evacuate people and relocate their vehicles and assets from areas at risk of floods and landslides to safe places.

Actively support people to overcome the consequences of the typhoon and its affection, and carry out environmental cleaning and disinfection to soon stabilize people’s lives and production.

Thoroughly grasp the security and order situation in the areas and deploy professional measures to promptly detect and handle acts of taking advantage of natural disasters to violate the laws, particularly stealing people’s property.

Mobilize forces to install warning signs and ensure traffic safety at culverts, landslide areas or areas at risk of landslides and inundation areas; absolutely do not allow traffic when the road is not safe, especially at road sections badly affected by rain, floods, landslides, and areas at risk of landslides, so as to avoid possible incidents causing losses of lives and property.

Follow the mottos “Four on-site” forces and “Three-ready” principles in response to natural disasters, proactively implement plans on natural disasters prevention and control, ensure safety and health of the forces participating in preventing and fighting natural disasters, and protect offices, documents, and working equipment of state agencies.

Under-ministerial departments are ready to mobilize their forces, means, materials and medicine to affected localities, as well as ensure communication lines in support of the leadership in responding to the typhoon and conducting search and rescue operations.
