Public Security Forces reach all working targets for August

The Ministry of Public Security held a monthly meeting, on the morning of August 29 in Hanoi, to evaluate results of task performances of the Public Security Forces in August 2022 and roll out key tasks in September 2022.

Presenting a summary report on the task performances of the Public Security Forces in August 2022 and deployment of key tasks for the forces in September 2022, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security Lieutenant General To An Xo stated that, over the past time, the Public Security Central Party Committee of and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security focused on directing all under-ministerial agencies and units and provincial-level police departments to strictly and effectively implement the instructions of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government to maintain security and order, and step up administrative reforms, facilitating the country's socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Later, Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang chaired the discussion session, during which representatives of agencies and units focused on discussing approaches to effectively fight reactionary and hostile forces that take advantage of cyberspace to spread false and fake information causing social disturbances, and agitate people, particularly political opportunists, to oppose the Party and State.

Some also suggested measures to control food poisoning cases, especially alcohol poisoning cases in recent times, and enhance traffic order and safety while others reported on the results of the implementation of the amnesty decision in 2022.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Minister To Lam recognized that all working objectives set out for August 2022 had been completed, and praised under-ministerial agencies and units and provincial-level police departments for bettering the planned targets.

Regarding the key tasks for the entire forces in September 2022, Minister To Lam required all agencies and units to seriously and effectively implement the Ministry's instructions, ensure absolute safety for key national projects, important political, cultural and social events, international delegations, international events to be held in Vietnam, activities and events with the participation of Party and State leaders while focusing on maintaining security and order during the celebration of the 77th National Day (September 2).

Regarding the current human trafficking situation drawn much public concern, relevant agencies and police units under the Ministry of Public Security should further take professional measures to effectively prevent, quickly detect and investigate individuals and groups illegally transporting people in and out of the country across the land border between Vietnam and other countries.

The entire Public Security Forces should also successfully implement the Government's Project 06 and the Ministry's Decision 10695 on providing online public services by optimizing the online public services and speeding up the process of handling online incoming documents and returning the results.
