Public Security Forces to ensure absolute safety for election of 15th National Assembly

PSNews - The Subcommittee on Security and Order for elections of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term hosted its second meeting on February 4.

The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the event, delegates listened to a report delivered by the Standing Member of the Subcommittee on results of its task performances over the past time and its missions in the coming time.

According to the report, members of the Subcommittee have advised the Ministry of Public Security's leadership and the Head of the Subcommittee on plans to ensure security for the elections.

Public security agencies and units have firmly grasped the situations and actively suppressed all kinds of crimes. Additionally, they launched many intensive campaigns to maintain security and safety for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival 2021 and prevent fire and explosion.

In order to effectively protect security for the elections in the time to come, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang asked all public security units and agencies to closely follow the directives and plans of the National Election Council, the Ministry of Public Security and the Subcommittee.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also requested the Standing Member of the Subcommittee to supervise and urge relevant public security units and agencies to implement the directions and plans of the Ministry of Public Security. 

It should also promptly advise leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of issues related to candidates and security of the elections so that the leaders of the ministry can then recommend the Party, State and Chairperson of the National Election Council to deal with them effectively.
