Public Security Forces urged for drastic measures to ensure absolute safety for 13th National Party Congress

PSNews – The Subcommittee on Security and Order Protection for the Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress had a meeting on January 4 to discuss measures to ensure  absolute safety and security for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress

At the meeting, Major General Vu Huu Tai, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security briefed Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam and delegates on the subcommittee’s task performance in recent times, stressing that members of the subcommittee and the relevant public security units have proactively grasped, analyzed and evaluated the security situation in the buildup to the 13th National Party Congress.

Departments under the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi Municipal Police Department set up teams to inspect the plans to ensure security and safety at the areas related to the congress. The inspection results showed that relevant units had taken drastic measures to suppress crimes, ensure fire safety and traffic order.

Press and media agencies of the Public Security Forces recently have strengthened the fight against false information and sabotage activities by reactionary and hostile forces.

During the meeting, under the direction of Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam, the delegates discussed measures and plans to strengthen the work of ensuring security and safety for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked members of the Subcommittee to review the working plans and direct relevant units to fulfill their assigned tasks as scheduled. All public security units and agencies were urged to fight false information and sabotage activities by reactionary and hostile forces before, during and after the 13th National Party Congress.

They should also strictly observe regulations of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control during political events, the Deputy Minister noted.

The Deputy Minister asked the Hanoi Municipal Police Department, the Mobile Police High Command and the High Command of Guard Police to drill in various possible scenarios. Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam also directed the Department of Traffic Police to coordinate with the Hanoi Municipal Police Department to ensure traffic order in the city during the congress.
