Rare cases: Rapist forced the victim to pose naked for photographs to blackmail

After the rape, suspect forced the victim pose naked photographs using his phone. A few days later, he used those photos to blackmail the victim.

The name of the dastardly acts of this suspect did surprise even the officials of the Police office of Hung Ha district (Thai Binh province).

 According to criminal psychology experts, the suspects of these case are often rushed, then turned to flee the discovery of the victim and the police agencies.

In this case, the suspect remained calm, used phone to take naked picture of the victim. A dozen days later, he again used those photos to blackmail the victim a scandalous way.

According to the victim, the night August 24 when she and his child were sleeping in the little house, she discovered many strange noises. Ms. V. turned on the light to check the living room and found a man wearing a mask, holding a knife in his hand and moving towards the door.

Predict dangerous situation, Ms. V required this man to not hurt them and her child, and offered the strange man to take all goods in the house if he wants. But the suspect said he did not need the money but need a place to stay overnight.Then, the suspect forced Ms. V. to have sexual intercourse. 

Ms. V. begged him but he ignored her words and also put the knife toward her son to force her to have sexual intercourse. 

Afraid that suspect would kill her child, ms. V. was forced to accept his require. After sexually assaulted her, he used his phone to take multiple pictures of Mr.V. when she was naked.

Concerned with public opinion, she quietly endured her pain alone. She also did not report the incident to the police office.

After 10 days, on September 4, the suspect sent an extortion letter, demanding her to send him VND 20 million or he would post her naked pictures on Facebook.

By this time, she decided to report the incident to Hung Ha District Police office.

After determining the severity of the incident and of the suspect, Lt. Col. Nguyen Hai Trieu, head of Hung Ha district police office has directly reported the case to Col. Nguyen Dinh Trung Deputy Director, head of the Police investigation department under Thai Binh Police to ask for the guidance.

Later, Hung Ha District Police office has mobilized the entire force of the Criminal Police Team at the office to conduct investigation, along with instructing the victim to continue contact with the suspect to bargain money and place the money in order to delay the time, police force has conducted a review expeditiously, to find the suspect of the crime.

After nearly two weeks of staking, screening, police force have found the suspect of the case named Pham Xuan Chung (30 years old, residing in Diep Nong commune, Hung Ha district).

Immediately, the police office had summoned Chung to do the investigation.

With professional methods, Chung pleaded guilty and declared the incident.

On September 9, Hung Ha district police office has prosecuted the accused and ordered the arrest of Pham Xuan Chung on charges of robbery, rape, extortion.
