Subcommittee for Security and Order of Party congresses at all levels holds third meeting

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security on May 4 chaired the third meeting of the Subcommittee for Security and Order of the Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress.

The event also saw the participations of Deputy Ministers of Public Security: Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and Major General Nguyen Duc Ngoc.

At the meeting, Major General To An Xo, Chief of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office and Standing Member of the Subcommittee briefed the Subcommittee’s members on the results of its task performance after the second meeting and their missions in the coming time.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested relevant public security units and agencies nationwide to pay due attention to protecting State secrets and fighting hostile and wrong views against the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Meanwhile, police forces should take preventive measures against crimes and social evils, as well as fire and explosions, and ensure traffic safety and order during the organization of Party congresses at all levels.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and praised the efforts of the public security units and agencies in maintaining security and social order ahead of Party Committees at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress.

Deputy Minister Nam emphasized that all public security officers and soldiers should be fully aware of the assignments, heighten their sense of responsibility, and closely coordinate with relevant units to inspect the staff serving the Party congresses at all levels.

The police units at all levels were asked to work out plans to ensure security for the Party congresses while coordinating with the health sector in taking preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic during the organization of the Party congresses.

The Ministry of Public Security’s Office, as standing body of the Subcommittee, was tasked to develop a specific working schedule for the Subcommittee’s members as well as inspect and urge public security agencies and units across the country to fulfill their assigned tasks. All public security agencies and units should report their working results to the Ministry Office.
