These positive results have been achieved thanks to many factors, including the effective operation of the recently deployed communal police officers.

Over the last year, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department has deployed 2,579 commissioned officers to all communes and townships in the province, in an effort to ensure security and order at the grassroots level.

Among them, 509 of officers were appointed as chiefs of communal police posts while the hundreds of others were appointed as deputy chiefs of communal police posts.

Since the presence of the commissioned police officers in communes and townships, the public order and security situation in these localities has been positive changes, contributing to local socio-economic development. The positive results have been recognized by the local authorities and the people.

Major Le Van Tuoi, Chief of the Hop Thanh Commune Police Post in Trieu Son district said, all officers deployed to the commune have well performed their duties.

Hop Thanh commune was considered as a security hotspot in the province for years. As soon as the professional police officers were deployed there, they decided to take urgent drastic measures to suppress crimes, particularly drug abuse and trafficking, illegal gambling and "black credit".

So far, the security and order situation in the all 7 villages of Hop Thanh commune has been improved, Tuoi said.

The presence of the professional police officers in communes has also contributed to ensuring border security as Thanh Hoa province has more than 190km of borderline with Laos. Despite poor roads, communal police officers often patrol in remote locations to fight against all kinds of crimes as well as to prevent acts by hostile forces.

The local police force has paid much attention to ensuring pubic order and security at the Nghi Son Economic Zone - a national key project, with hundreds of foreign investment enterprises and thousands of workers; as a result, the security and order situation in the area has always been guaranteed. The to the efforts of the grassroots police force in ensuring security in the economic zone has contributed to creating a stable and peaceful environment for provincial socio-economic development as well as for investors to invest in Thanh Hoa province.

According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, the unit recently advised the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to issues at least 10 resolutions related to the work of ensuring order and safety in the province. The provincial police also completed 4 major projects on enhancing national security, and successfully implemented 11 directives and 60 plans on public order and security.

In 2020, the Thanh Hoa provincial police also participated actively and effectively in prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic while successfully ensuring safety and security for Party congresses at all local levels.

Major General Tran Phu Ha, Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department emphasized that, in 2021, all local police officers and soldiers will continue their efforts to build a cleaner and stronger police force and successfully fulfill all assigned tasks while ensuring public order and security in the province.
