According to the Vietnamese police officer, the movement stems from the Vietnamese traditions. During their thousand-year history of national construction and defense, the Vietnamese people have always pursued the policies "Pacifying the people", “Wining people's hearts and souls" and "Promoting national unity” to protect the country.

The Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh have always affirmed the role and strength of the people in the revolutionary cause of protecting national security.

Since its inception, the Party has issued many important policies and launched many emulation movements to mobilize all people to participate in the cause of protecting national security, social order and safety, including the current movement of “All people protecting National security”.

“All people protecting National security” is an organized but voluntary, charismatic and active movement encouraging all Vietnamese people to observe the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's law. The movement also aims to mobilize the people to participate in preventing, detecting, and fighting crimes, contributing to protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.
