Ben Tre police visit families of two police officers who have been injured and killed in fighting criminals

PSNews – A delegation of the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department led by Senior Colonel Tran Thi Be Nhan, its Deputy Director on July 2nd visited and presented gifts to the families of 2 police officers who were injured and killed while doing their duty.

Earlier on April 25, while handling a case of social disturbance in the locality, Luong Van Vu, Vice Head of the An Khanh Commune Police Post (Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre Province) and Tran Van Minh, permanent police officer in An Khanh Commune were seriously deadly stabbed by a thug involved in the case.

The two police officers were quickly taken to the hospital. However, Luong Van Vu could not last out due to his serious injuries. Comrade Tran Van Minh was seriously injured but he was successfully saved.

At their homes, the delegation of the Ben Tre Police Department presented over 180 million VND to Vu’s family and over 173 million VND to Minh. The money had been donated by the police officers and soldiers of the Ben Tre Police.

Senior Colonel Tran Thi Be Nhan and the delegation extended deep condolences to the family of Luong Van Vu. She also recalled and appreciated the devotedness and courage of the two police officers in the fight against crimes.

According to Senior Colonel Tran Thi Be Nhan, leaders of the Ben Tre Police Department have assigned subordinate units to prepare a solemn funeral for Vu and urgently arrested the perpetrator.

The Ben Tre Provincial Police Department also launched a campaign in the whole provincial police force to study and follow the example of Luong Van Vu and Tran Van Minh in the fight against crimes and social evils.
