CAND Newspaper and donor present gifts to policy beneficiary families in Da Nang

PSNews - On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), a charitable mission of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper's Representative Office in the Central Sub-region and donor MPLand Tonkin Company in collaboration with the Da Nang Municipal Police visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in the heroic commune of Hoa Ninh, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City.

The delegation was joined by Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Nam, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Public Security.

According to Mr. Le Duc Thuong, Chairman of the Hoa Ninh Commune's People's Committee, Hoa Ninh is one of the communes in the North West of Da Nang. During the resistance war against the invaders, the commune was a revolutionary base for revolutionaries. During the war, 81 residents of the commune bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, 10 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 18 wounded and ill soldiers, along with dozens of revolution contributors' families.

Currently, the commune has 1,500 households with more than 5,000 people, including 110 beneficiary households. Thanked to the care from the Party and State, as well as the leadership of Da Nang City and Hoa Vang District, the commune has seen positive changes in socio-economic development over the past years. But there are still a number of needy households, including policy beneficiary families, in the commune.

Chairman of the Hoa Ninh Commune's People's Committee affirmed that the charity activities of the CAND Newspaper and donor along with the Da Nang Municipal Police to Hoa Ninh commune was significant to needy local people, particularly policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributor's families.

In Hoa Ninh, the CAND Newspaper, donor MBLand Tonkin Company and Da Nang Municipal Police presented 50 packs of gifts with a total value of 50 million VND (each pack worth of 1 million VND includes rice and some necessities) to policy beneficiary families in a difficult state. Although the gift was not very significant in value but it reflected the compassion and empathy of the CAND Newspaper, the local police force, and the donor for policy beneficiary families and revolution contributors families on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, CEO of MBLand Tonkin Company said that, over the past time, MBLand Tonkin in collaboration with CAND Newspaper's Representative Office in the Central Sub-region has visited and presented gifts to many policy beneficiary families, needy families, poor students with excellent academic records in Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City. He also wished to further accompany CAND Newspaper in social charity activities in the coming time.
