Cyber Security Police asked to ensure information systems of the Party and State

PSNews – The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on August 21 organized a conference to announce Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on personnel, review its task performance since the beginning of 2018 and roll out its working plan for the remaining months of the year. 

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event. Major General Nguyen Minh Chinh, Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime chaired the event.

Since the beginning of 2018, alongside opportunities and advantages, the force in charge of ensuring cyber security and high-tech crime has faced many difficulties and challenges. Under the guidance of the Party Central Committee of Public Security as well as leaders of the MPS, the force has well accomplished all assigned tasks.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam hailed the achievements the force has obtained over the time.

He also urged the force to review, revise and complete the working procedures and regulations as well as its operational mechanism while paying much attention to political and ideological education for all officers and soldiers, bolstering its internal unity, and training an army of officers with good qualifications and virtues.

The unit should continue to advise the Party, the State to complete policies and legal documents on cyber security and high-tech crime prevention and fight, ensure security and safety for information systems of key agencies of the Party and State, important national information networks and information and communication networks of the Public Security Forces  while responding effectively to acts of sabotage of hostile and reactionary forces on cyber space and controlling high-tech crimes.

At the conference, on behalf of the Minister of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam announced  decisions on the appointment of new Deputy Directors of the Department, and some other decisions on personnel within the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime.
