Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc works with Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department

Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 27 had a meeting with the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department to review their task performance over the past time.

According to reports delivered by leaders of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department, over the first months of 2020, the unit paid due attention to grasping the local situation and addressed complex security issues from the grassroots level in timely and effective manner. 

In addition, they launched various intensive campaigns to crack down on crimes, contributing significantly to maintaining political, social order and security in the province.

Amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 situation, the Hoa Binh provincial police also closely coordinated with local authorities to take drastic measures on COVID-19 prevention and control.

Furthermore, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department strictly followed directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on building the professional police force at the communal level. Accordingly, the unit completed the arrangement of 424 full-time police officers to 141 communes and township in the province.

Additionally, the local police forces launched intensive campaigns against crimes and violations of the legal regulations on possession of weapons, explosives and combat gears. As a result, they seized 130 guns, 114 bullets, one grenade and two detonators.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc recognized and spoke highly of the achievements obtained by the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department over the past time.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested the Hoa Binh provincial police to attach importance to taking preventive measures against COVID-19 following the motto “Fighting the epidemic is like fighting the enemy”.

In the coming time, the Hoa Binh provincial police should further enhance measures to manage and control weapons, explosives and combat gears while promoting law dissemination and mobilizing people, organizations and agencies to surrender illegally-stored weapons, explosives and combat gears to the authorities.

The Deputy Minister also urged the local police to strengthen its communal-level police force, contributing to ensuring local security and order.
