Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Bac Kan police

PSNews - A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, had a meeting with leaders of the Bac Kan Provincial Police on September 8.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Duong Van Tinh, Director of the Bac Kan Provincial Police Department briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and the delegation on the task performance of the provincial police from January to September of 2018. He said that the political security situation of the province has been stable since the beginning of the year while issues arising related to political security have been detected and resolved promptly at the grassroots level, avoiding unexpected cases.

Regarding social order and safety, the Bac Kan Provincial Police have carried out synchronous preventive measures against crimes and social evils. Senior Colonel Tinh said that although the number of criminal cases has decreased from 293 to 254 with 334 subjects involved, the situation still remains very complicated, especially some types of crime including pedophile crime, drug crime and forest crime.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leadership of the Public Security Ministry,  Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the great efforts of the local police in overcoming many difficulties and challenges over the past months and applauded achievements of all officers and soldiers of the Bac Kan Provincial Police.  

Regarding some tasks in the coming time, General Son instructed the Bac Kan Provincial Police to continuously focus on grasping any situations, contributing to maintaining a stable political security. He said that the Bac Kan Provincial Police should spread examples of people with good deeds while staying resolute in the fight against crime.

To meet this end, Lieutenant General Son suggested that the Bac Kan Provincial Police should seriously implement Party building and force building, to promote a united, strong and elite police force.

Regarding the policy to post regular police officers to commune-level posts, General Son stated that the Bac Kan Provincial Police should select cadres with sufficient training and voluntary spirit so as to better serve the people, contributing to building a firm people’s security posture.

Earlier, on the morning of September 8, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son attended another meeting to review outcomes of coordination in ensuring social order and security held by the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee, and witnessed the signing ceremony on cooperation in ensuring security and order between the Bac Kan Provincial Police Department and Bac Kan General Hospital.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, General Son hailed outstanding achievements of the Bac Kan authorities, the Directorate of Bac Kan General Hospital as well as people of Bac Kan in crime prevention and fight as well as in the movement "All people protecting national security".

He underscored that each sector or organization should carry out the movement in a way suitable to their conditions, while mobilizing all officials and employees to participate in it actively and regularly.

At the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son handed medals "For National Security" from the Ministry of Public Security to three typical individuals and certificates of merit to another three people for their outstanding contributions to the movement "All people protecting national security".
