Deputy Minister Son: IT must be applied in construction and barracks management

PSNews – The Department of Construction and Barracks Management (DCB) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference in December to review the unit’s performance of tasks in 2020 and roll out its new plans for 2021. 

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event. Major General Le Van Long, Director of the DCB chaired the event.

In 2020, the DCB successfully fulfilled its key tasks. The unit completed the appraisal of investment procedures for construction projects, facilitating the disbursement for the projects.

The unit also completed the construction of workplaces and social housing projects for police officers in 25 border provinces under the direction of the leadership of the MPS.

For its excellent achievements in 2020, the DCB was awarded the Emulation Flag by the MPS.

At the conference, delegates discussed the building of shared database for local police units and the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in construction management and management of land for public security purposes.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the outstanding achievements and effort of the DCB in 2020.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son requested the DCB to advise the Public Security Central Party Committee and leadership of the MPS to build workplaces for public security units and hostels for the communal police forces across the country.

The unit should quickly complete the social housing project for needy households in Ha Quang District, Cao Bang Province, requested the Deputy Minister.

The Deputy Minister also urged the DCB to continue promoting administrative reforms and working methods while prioritizing IT application in its work and promoting Party building and force building.

At the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son presented Certificates of Merit of the MPS to outstanding subunits and officers of the unit.
