At the meeting, Senior Colonel Do Trieu Phong, Director of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department, briefed the Deputy Minister and the working delegation on the anti-pandemic results of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department, Kien Giang-based Kenh 7 Prison, and other relevant units.
After listening to reports, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung speaks highly of Kien Giang police’s contribution to the local fight against COVID-19. Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highlighted Kien Giang province as a "green zone" or COVID-19 free area in the southern region of the Hau River.
The Deputy Minister requested the Kien Giang provincial police to thoroughly grasp the pandemic situation in the locality while promoting the movement “All people protect national security” and the role of grassroots-level forces to early detect suspects of infection and cases with epidemiological factors returning to the province from pandemic-hit areas.
They should seriously penalize people who spread false information on social networks and distort anti-pandemic policies and guidelines of the Government.
Regarding Kenh 7 Detention Center, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the prison’s staff to take the strongest preventive measures to ensure safety for the detention facilities.
