Minister of Public Security visits and presents gifts to needy people in DakLak

PSNews - Within the framework of the working visit to the Central Highlands, on March 10th, Minister To Lam, member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, Head of the Central Highlands Steering Committee and a delegation of public security visited and presented gifts to ethnic people in Hoa Dong commune, Krong Pak district, DakLak province.

It is part of the program “Giving hearts” launched by the Ministry of Public Security, which was held by the Central Highlands Steering Committee in collaboration with Minh Phat DakLak Company and 30-4 Public Security Hospital.

Minister To Lam and the delegation presented 150 million VND to 5 needy households in an effort to support them in escaping from poverty. The charitable mission also presented 128 packs of gifts to policy families and revolution contributors; 15 bicycles to needy students; 21 packs of gifts to communal-level officials with great contributions to the movement “All people protecting national security”, 4 packs of gifts to reputable individuals and 84 packs of gifts to poor and near-poor households.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam thanked the previous generations who have devoted themselves and contributed tonational peace and independence. Minister To Lam also inquired after them, wishing that they havegood health and encourage local people to work hard to reducepoverty as well asto actively take part in the movement “All people protecting national security.”

In ajoyful atmosphere, representatives of needy local households receiving gifts, Mr. Y Jit Hmok (resident of Ta Rar village, Hoa Dong commune) extended deep thanks to Minister To Lam and delegates, saying that the sentiment of Minister To Lam and the police delegates was their great honors and a source of encouragement for all local families.

After the meeting, the Central Highlands Security Department launched the movement “All people protecting national security”, and 30-4 Hospital provided free check-ups and free medicines for 740 needy local ethnic people.
