Minister To Lam asks the Quan Thanh Ward Police to focus on maintaining social security and order

PSNews - Highlighting the key geopolitical factor of Hanoi in general and Quan Thanh ward in particular, Minister To Lam stated that Quan Thanh ward is considered the heart and the central image of Hanoi center. 

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to inspect the social order situation of Quan Thanh ward and worked with the Quan Thanh Ward Police on October 1.

At the working session, Lieutenant Colonel Ta Huu Nam, Head of the Quan Thanh Ward Police briefed Minister To Lam and the delegation on the local situation and results of the police unit’s social order maintenance in Quan Thanh ward over the past time.

Over the past time, the Quan Thanh Ward Police have actively grasped the situation, promptly advised local Party committees and authorities on ensuring social order and safety, promoted the "All people protecting national security" movement, and enhanced fire and explosion prevention, traffic safety.

In the first 9 months of 2017, the rate of criminal cases was reduced while no serious cases occurred in the area. In addition, all streets are always kept clean, orderly and beautiful, leaving a good impression on Hanoians and visitors. 

For those positive results, the Quan Thanh Ward Police has received the title “Excellent Unit” for the 16 consecutive years and the “Emulation Flag” on the movement “All people protecting national security” from the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2 consecutive years. 

On behalf of the Party Central Committee of Public Security and leaders of Public Security Ministry, Minister To Lam applauded the achievements obtained by officers and soldiers of the Quan Thanh Ward Police in the past time, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety, promoting socio-economic development as well as foreign affairs of Hanoi.

Highlighting the key geopolitical factor of Hanoi in general and Quan Thanh ward in particular, Minister To Lam stated that Quan Thanh ward is considered the heart and the central image of Hanoi center. Therefore, the local police force has a very important position and takes a heavy mission.

He also thanked authorities at all levels and Hanoians for always supporting the public security forces in Hanoi in general and Quan Thanh ward in particular, contributing to building a civilized, modern, peaceful and developed capital.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam instructed the Quan Thanh Ward Police to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Directives, Resolutions of the Party, the State, the Public Security Ministry, the Hanoi Municipal Police as well as local authorities.

The Quan Thanh Ward Police should cooperate with involved forces in ensuring absolute safety for important political events in the locality, especially the 4th working session of the 14th National Assembly of Vietnam and the 6th meeting of the Party Central Committee and relevant activities within the framework of APEC 2017.

It is necessary to synchronously deploy specialized measures and prevention activities, accelerate the movement "All people protecting national security", combat crimes, well implement Party building and force building, meeting task requirements  of the current situation.

Additionally, each officer and soldier of the Quan Thanh Ward Police should strictly study and follow police order and regulations, President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morals and style as well as Uncle Ho’s 6 teachings to the Public Security Forces.
