MPS evaluates work results of Public Security Forces in first nine months

PSNews - Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam chaired an online conference on September 28 connecting delegates from the ministry headquarters to provincial-level police departments and other locally-based units to review the task performances of the Public Security Forces in the third quarters and the first nine months of 2023.

At the meeting, delegates were briefed on the situation and work results of the Public Security Forces in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2023, and key tasks for the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in the fourth quarter.

Later, under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, representatives from public security units discussed their units’ task performance, analyzed situations and suggested solutions to issues.

Particularly, police units exchanged working experience in preventing and controlling all types of crime, conducting fire safety and firefighting plan inspections, building model units, and developing the movement “All people protect national security.”

Concluding the conference, Minister To Lam recognized the results and effort of public security units and the entire Public Security Forces in recent times.

Regarding key tasks of the Public Security Forces until the end of 2023, Minister To Lam requested that all public security units to complete their work plans, and achieve the set targets approved by the Ministry for 2023.

He underlined that the entire Public Security Forces should strive to successfully fulfil all projects and tasks assigned by the Politburo, Secretariat and Government to the Public Security Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security in the fourth quarter of 2023.
