MPS holds mid-year press conference

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to announce the work results of the Public Security Forces in the first 6 months of 2024, on the afternoon of July 8th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired the press conference.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To revealed that, just before the press conference, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security organized two important meetings, namely the Public Security Central Party Committee meeting on July 4th and the meeting to review the Public Security Forces’ work results in the first half of 2024 on the morning of July 8th.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent an important report on key tasks of the Public Security Forces in the coming time to the first meeting while President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and gave specific directions to the the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the entire Public Security Forces at the two meetings.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To introduced to the press Deputy Chief of the MPS Office Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, who had been appointed as new MPS Spokesman as a replacement for the former MPS Spokesman Lieutenant General To An Xo.

Journalists raise questions to representatives of MPS.

The Deputy Minister wished all press agencies and journalists to further promote the image of the Public Security Forces as well as encourage the entire political system and all people from all walk of life to join the Public Security Force in safeguarding national security, ensuring social order as well as in building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces to meet their task requirements in the new situation.

At the press conference, under the chair of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and the execution of the MPS Spokesman, representatives from relevant departments under the Ministry of Public Security  answered questions raised by participating journalists, and released detailed information about issues of public concern in the fields of security and order, in an open and frank manner.
