MPS leader presents Tet’s gift to people in landslide areas in Quang Nam

PSNews – A working mission of the Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security on February 3 presented 500 packs of Tet gifts to people who have been seriously affected by landslides in Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My districts, Quang Nam province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son showed his empathy with the difficulties of local people due to the recent flooding and landslides, leaving many families in the 2 districts homeless after their house had been buried.

The Deputy Minister said that although these gifts were not much in value and could not meet all the needs of local people, but they demonstrated the sentiment and empathy of the pubic security forces in general and of the Quang Nam province and Da Nang city police force in particular, as well as of the kind donors, with the local residents when the Lunar New Year is coming.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the results of the local Party, the authority and organizations as well as the local police force in supporting residents of Quang Nam province after the landslides. He also extended his best wishes to the authorities and people of the 2 district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also asked the police force of Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My districts to support local people to settle their lives and focus on ensuring absolute security for people during the Lunar New Year season.

Same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and the working mission also offered flowers and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at the martyrs’ cemetery of Bac Tra My district and at the Security Zone 5 relic, and offered flowers at President Ho Chi Minh Monument inside the relic site.

On this occasion, the Department of Traffic Police also presented 120 packs of gifts to residents of the 2 districts. The Youth Union chapter and the Woman Union chapter of the Quang Nam Provincial Traffic Police handed over 50 packs of gifts to local people. The Da Nang Municipal Traffic Police also presented 3 packs of gifts to police officers and soldiers of Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My districts as well as the management board of the Security Zone 5 relic.
