MPS, Nhan Dan Newspaper renew information coordination programme for 2024 – 2029 period

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security and the Nhan Dan (People’s) Newspaper organized a meeting to review results of the implementation of their information coordination programme in the 2018-2023 period and extend the programme to 2029, on the afternoon of July 15th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh co-chaired the meeting.

Delivering the opening speech, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To underlined that the information coordination program has made great contribution to reflecting the outstanding achievements of the Public Security Forces in the fight against crimes and violations, widely spreading typical groups and individuals in the “For national security” emulation movement and the “All people protecting national security” movement, as well as beautifying the image of public security officers.

According to the general report delivered at the meeting, over the past five years, the Ministry of Public Security and the Nhan Dan Newspaper have closely cooperated in disseminating the Party’s viewpoints and guidelines and the State’s laws and policies as well as quickly reporting on the country's important political events, activities of leaders of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security, issues of public concern and celebrations of large anniversaries, especially those related to the Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh underlined that, over the past time, the cooperation between the two agencies has achieved positive results, stressing that the information coordination program has had high efficiency from ministerial level to provincial level, district level and communal level.

He pledged that the Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to cover all working aspects of the Ministry of Public Security and the Public Security Forces in the fastest and most accurate manner, attract more readers to their press and media coverage on the Public Security Forces by making them more interesting and innovative.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang highly appreciated the positive results of the information coordination programme between the two agencies in the last five years.

The Public Security Minister sincerely thanked all the leaders and the staff of the Nhan Dan Newspaper for their valuable support for the Public Security Forces over the past five years, saying that the newspaper’s coverage on the Public Security Forces’ implementation of their missions of ensuring security and order and force building was a great source of encouragement for the forces.

He hoped that the Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to support and coordinate closely with the Ministry of Public Security Forces in disseminating information on the Public Security Forces in the coming time.

To renew the cooperation between the two agencies, Minister Luong Tam Quang and Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh also signed a new information coordination programme for the next five-year period.
