MPS reviews COVID-19 prevention and control

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on December 21 held a conference to review the results of COVID-19 prevention and fight in the Public Security Forces (PSF).

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the MPS's Steering Committee on disease prevention and control chaired the conference.

At the event, Senior Colonel Pham Thi Lan Anh, Director of the Public Security Health Department briefed delegates on the results of the PFS in the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delegates also discussed many issues and pointed out the limitations as well as lesson learned from preventing and controlling COVID-19 in the past time.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of remarkable results in prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam.

The results have been achieved thanks to the timely directions and sound leadership of the Party and the State, the strong resolve of the whole political system and the efforts of the people, as well as the great dedication of the heath sector and the People’s Army and the PSF.

In particular, the PSF played a very important role and made great contribution, as Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stated at the 76th National Public Security Conference.

The Deputy Minister also asked delegates to discuss and craft directions, tasks and solutions for the PSF to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

At the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also awarded certificates of merit to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.

* On same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son chaired a conference to roll out the working plan of the public security health sector in 2020.

The conference comprehensively reviewed the results achieved by the public security health sector in 2020, and at the same time pointed out the sector’s limitations and difficulties in implementing its tasks. 

The conference also discussed solutions to the remaining problems.

The conference agreed on 13 key tasks for the sector in 2021, focusing on improving the capacity of the public security health sector as well as the quality of medical examination and treatment at public security hospitals and clinics.
