The Deputy Minister asked functional agencies under the MPS to provide the Hai Duong provincial police force with sufficient medical supplies used for pandemic prevention and control as soon as possible. At the same time, the agencies should draw up plans to support and reinforce the Hai Duong police upon request.

He also asked the Public Security Department of Health to urgently consult the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control about conducting COVID-19 tests for inmates who have already served their imprisonment sentences at the Hai Duong-based Hoang Tien Detention Center.

If they are tested negative, the Department should advise the National Steering Committee and coordinate with local authorities to guide the newly-released inmates to quarantine themselves at their places in accordance with regulations.
