Public Security Forces work close with citizens to maintain security and order

PSNews - Following the motto “People love when you come and people miss when you go”, policemen of the Social Security Office of the Can Tho City Police build on close ties with local people, especially with ethnic minorities and religious people in the areas.

The kindness and enthusiasm of Can Tho policemen in implementing the work of mass mobilization has won local people’s hearts and minds; as a result, they have rendered great supports for the police force to successfully complete their missions, maintaining security and order in the locality.

Dang Ngoc Giau, a citizen lives in Dinh Hoa A village (Dinh Mon Ward, Thoi Lai District) said: ''I see policemen coming here to live, to eat, to stay and work with the locals quite often. They help us from fixing the bridge, constructing road, to repairing leaky roofs, harvesting rice. They are ready to do whatever job to back local people. That's why all local people love them. When the festival season comes, local people always invite them to join in.''

Venerable Duong An, master monk of Settodor Temple (Co Do town, Co Do District) - one of the biggest temples in the town said: ''The monks and people here see police officers as close friends. They take care of us and really love us. They listen to our opinions and try to realize our aspirations. They frequently update us on new policies relating to religions and ethnic minorities.”

Thanks to people's trust and support, public security forces closely followed the local situation and collaborated with other specialized police units to solve a case of property appropriation and fraud using new sophisticated tricks in a religious residential area.

Religious incumbents in the locality also actively cooperated with the police in investigating and tracking the criminals, who used tricks to cheat religious organizations. With their support, the criminal gang was eventually arrested by the Can Tho City Police.

Additionally, the police actively join social activities in the areas, and participate in building the new countryside model in Thoi Lai, Co Do district while setting up a humanitarian address to support needy Khmer minority households.

With their love and enthusiasm toward people, the Can Tho Municipal Police have won people’s trust and created close connections with local people. The success of the Can Tho Municipal Police has come from their ceaseless endeavor and high sense of responsibility to the people.
