Quang Ngai Police ensures security and order facilitating investment in the province

PSNews – Over the past time, the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department has implemented comprehensively professional measures and promoted administrative reforms in order to ensure security and order, while creating favourable conditions for the province to attract investment, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Hai Anh, Deputy Head of the Immigration Division under the Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that it took 5 days for foreigners to get temporary residence permits in the past, but they have to spend only 3 days on the procedures, thanks to the new online registration system.

The administrative reforms of the Immigration Division under the Quang Ngai Provincial Police have facilitated foreign investment in Quang Ngai Province.

According to the official report, in 2017, the province reached 26 out of the 27 major socio-economic targets; its external activities were expanded while the business investment environment was improved with 600 new businesses established. The province also licensed 102 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of over 70 trillion VND and 14 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with registered capital of 295 million USD.

Mr. Le Viet Chu, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in 2017 the economic, social, cultural and educational situations of the province saw many positive changes. Such achievements came from the joint efforts of the whole local political system, people, the business community and police force with their important contribution.

According to Mr. Chu, the local police force has maintained a peaceful environment for local business and production. Especially, in order to resolve the shortcomings in residence registration for foreigners, the police force has suggested simplifying the procedures, facilitating foreign investment in locality.
