Tay Ninh Police hold more than 400 firefighting and rescue drills

PSNews – The Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department on June 23 held a conference to review the preliminary results of the 5-year implementation of preventive measures against large fires (June 15, 2013-2018).

Senior Colonel Pham Van Cao, Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Provincial Police said that, over the past 5 years, the Tay Ninh police force has implemented synchronously measures to prevent large fires.

The force has carried out fire safety inspections over residential areas, agencies and business premises, made inspection reports on fire prevention violations of 34,500 establishments and fined over 1.9 billion VND for the violations.

The Provincial Police Directorate has always directed the fire police force to ensure a sufficient round-the-clock on-duty contingent and instructed lower-level units to develop and approved over 1,400 firefighting and rescue plans.

Over the past 5 years, the Tay Ninh Police force has held 406 firefighting and rescue drills at establishments with high risks of fire and explosion, checked 972 firefighting and rescue practices at the basis level as well as 2 comprehensive firefighting and rescue drills at the provincial level in the Ba Den Tourism Site and Ben Dinh ferry.

As of 2018, 105 agencies, enterprises, schools, communes, wards and towns of Tay Ninh province were recognized by the Provincial Police to meet the fire prevention and fighting standards while 20 units were honored by the Provincial People’s Committee as outstanding units for 5 consecutive years.

The Provincial Fire Police force always responded to fire reports in a timely and accurate manner, so they could mobilize sufficient forces and means for firefighting and rescue.

Leaders of provincial- and basic-level fire-police units were always present at large fire incidents to direct the forces to fight the fire and rescue victims; as a result property damages were reduced and many people were saved.
