Thua Thien Hue police review tasks of ensuring traffic safety

PSNews – The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department in June  held a conference to review the implementation of the directives and plans of the Ministry of Public Security and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee on the tasks of ensuring traffic safety in the locality.

According to the report delivered at the conference by Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department, over the past time, the local police force has actively advised higher-level leaders to draw up plans, mobilize forces and means and strengthened coordination among forces to ensure traffic safety and urban order.

In particular, the unit frequently carried out field surveys on National Highway 1A and other main routes in Hue City to find limitations and issues in traffic organization, traffic signs and lights, as well as black spots and areas at high risks of traffic accidents, in order to devise appropriate solutions to the problems, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and urban order.

In the coming time, the Thua Thien Hue Police Forces will continue to grasp the situation, resolutely resolve violations of the traffic safety corridors, and organize the local traffic in an approriate and effective way.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee said that the task of ensuring traffic safety for people is very important, contributing to promoting local tourism. Therefore, the local police force in particular and the provincial political system in general must focus on ensuring traffic safety, by raising people’s awareness of traffic safety and urban order, and resolutely handling any violations of the Traffic Law.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificates of Merits to the Hue Municipal Police Department and the Division of Criminal Police, and 8 individuals. Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Doan, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Police Department awarded Certificates of Merit to the Phu Nhuan and Thuy Duong District Police Stations and 14 individuals for their outstanding contributions in ensuring traffic safety and security and order.
