Vietnam, RoK strengthen cooperation

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security on last Friday received Mr. Park Soo-kwan, Honorary General Consul of Vietnam in Busan-Gyeongnam, Republic of Korea (RoK).

At the reception, Minister To Lam warmly welcomed the Honorary General Consul and the delegation of RoK enterprises on their working trip to Vietnam. He stated that, Vietnam and RoK have established a strategic partnership for 9 years and have experienced 25 years of diplomatic relations. Over the past years, the cooperation between the two countries has developed strongly and reached great results.

Minister To Lam highly appreciated the dedication and contribution of the Honorary General Consul that has helped strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and RoK and support Vietnamese citizens living in RoK, including Vietnamese wives of Korean men. Minister To Lam thanked Mr. Park Soo-wan for his support for Vietnamese citizens over the pass time and hoped that the Honorary General Consul would continue to promote his role as the important bridge of the friendship and cooperation between two countries, for the common interests of the two peoples, and for development and prosperity of Vietnam and RoK.

Minister To Lam also said that many Korean enterprises are investing in Vietnam and this trend would grow faster in the future. Therefore, the Minister suggested Mr. Park Soo-kwan to encourage Korean enterprises to invest more in Vietnamese localities, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development and improving the living standard of Vietnamese people. Minister To Lam affirmed that

Vietnam always encourages and creates favourable conditions for foreign enterprises, including Korean enterprise, to invest in Vietnam.

Mr. Park Soo-kwan thanked Minister To Lam for his kind reception and affirmed that, as the Honorary General Consul of Vietnam in Busan-Gyeongnam, Republic of Korea, he would strive to promote the strategic partnership between Vietnam and RoK into a new height in the coming time.
