The Institute of Criminal Sciences of the Ministry of Public Security held a conference on December 23 to review its task performance in 2020 and roll out its new working plans for 2021.

Reports at the conference highlighted various outstanding activities of the Institute in 2020. The technical equipment for crime prevention and control was widely deployed at the provincial level. The training and retraining of criminal techniques and forensics for specialists achieved good results.
Particularly, the criminal technique force has well performed its function as a strategic advisor to leaders at all levels in the field of criminal sciences. The institute has contributed positively to successfully investigating major cases. The institute was awarded an Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security for its outstanding achievements in 2020.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc asked the institute to well perform its role in advising the higher authorities to complete the legal framework and policies related to criminal sciences. He also requested the institute to regularly improve technical skills and knowledge for police officers working with criminal techniques at the provincial and district levels.
