The Department of Logistics under the Ministry of Public Security sent 31 officers and workers on August 21 to Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Major General Le Van Hai, Director of the Department of Logistics, said the department had provided sufficient logistical and medical supplies, equipment, means and forces to build and run field hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.

This time, the department sent 31 officers and workers, including 11 chefs, to Ho Chi Minh City. The reinforcements are tasked to work at kitchens of the field hospitals in Phuoc Loc commune (Nha Be district), Phuong Nam guesthouse and Phuoc Loc official residence, Major General Le Van Hai revealed.

The leader requested the reinforced staff should overcome difficulties and fulfil their given tasks while taking due care of their health and avoiding being infected.

All officers and staff were tested for SARS-CoV-2 and went through medical checkups in advance.
