A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, had a meeting with the Quang Binh provincial police on September 29.

Reports at the meeting read that, since the beginning of 2020, the Quang Binh province police forces have successfully investigated 428 criminal cases with 1,045 people involved, reaching 95.32%of the total 449 cases. Particularly, the provincial police have made efforts to reduce the number of offences and violations while destroying many criminal groups. Their achievements were praised by the MPS, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, and highly appreciated by the local people.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi spoke highly of the efforts made by the Quang Binh provincial police over the past time.

As many important political events will be organized in the locality in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi requested the provincial police to advise their superior levels to effectively solve emerging issues related to national security, social order and safety in the province. They should launch intensive campaigns against crimes to ensure security and safety for the people during the upcoming New Year festival.

Additionally, the local police forces should strictly manage foreigners, especially foreign workers, and ensure that they seriously comply with COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations.

They should also speed up the implementation of the National Database on Population project and the e-ID card project at the grassroots level.
