Fire police still secure outside scene of fire incident in Can Tho

PSNews- Can Tho Police Fire Police are still on duty around the clock and water the remainder of the fired factory in every 2 hours to cool it down.

10 days after the fierce fire broke out, heat and burning smells have still been released from the ruined facilities of Kwong Lung – Meko Company in Can Tho city. The police force continue protecting the scene strictly.

Some 50 firefighters and 30 more police officers under the Can Tho Municipal Police have been on 24/24 duty at the scene.

At the scene, Senior Colonel Phan Van Giai, deputy director of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of Can Tho city, said: "At present, the Can Tho Fire Police continue to assign officers and soldiers of the unit to guard the scene. We continue deploying four fire engines and one fire-fighting function vehicle and water remaining warehouse and manufacturing facilities in every two hours. The dome of the building is being dismantled to facilitate the moving of stocks out of the stores, and we are still trying to release residual heat of the fire. "

Senior Colonel Bui Trong The, Deputy Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police said: "This morning (April 1), the police force have opened the nearby roads in front of the burned building to traffic. But we have also assigned forces to protect a larger area around the fired factory."

According to reporters of PSNews, goods are moved out urgently, and some packages are still undamaged. "The area will continue to be kept 100% safe until all remaining goods, materials and machinery of the company have been moved out safely. In the next 4-5 days, fire police will watch the area around the clock," added Colonel Colonel Phan Van Giai.
