Lao Cai police carry out volunteer activities in mountainous localities

PSNews –Officers of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department offered gifts and disseminated laws to students in Coc Ly commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province.

The drive was co-organized by the Youth Union Chapter and the Women's Union Chapter of the Economic Security Office under the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department, in coordination with other units. They on November 20 offered gifts and hosted education program to disseminated laws to students at the preschool and primary school, secondary school in Coc Ly commune.

The officers also roofed the playhouse of the Coc Ly Preschool and offered 50 mattresses with 100 warm blankets and 200 warm jackets to semi-boarding school students. The kind donors handed a water tank, a electronic speaker and to the school. The gifts were worth VND 100 million in total.

In addition, the Bac Ha District Police also issued ID cards for local citizens in Coc Ly commune and disseminated laws on school violence prevention to local students.

This practical social program aimed at helping disadvantaged students in mountainous areas, equipping more life skills for students and teachers, and raising public awareness of prevention and control of school violence and child abuse, thus creating a healthy and safe learning and living environment.

* Earlier, aworking group of the Internal Security Office under the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department, in collaboration with the Cao Bang Provincial Police Infirmary, organized a program to disseminate laws and offer free health checkups and medicinesto over300 local people in Ta Giang Phincommune, Sa Pa district.
