Lao Cai Police hold the 18th Party Congress for term 2020 – 2025

From June 29 to 30, the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department organized its 18th Party Congress for the 2020 – 2025 term. Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) attended and delivered a speech.

According to the reports at the congress, the Party Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department has successfully reached the objectives set by the 17th Party Congress’ Resolution during 2015 - 2020.

The provincial police department has brought into full play the comprehensive strength of the political system and people in maintaining security, social order and safety in the locality.

From 2015 to 2020, the provincial police have successfully solved nearly 3,000 cases of violating laws and order, busted a number of human trafficking and drug trafficking rings.

The rate of successfully investigated  criminal cases reached over 90% annually while all the extremely serious cases were completely solved. Particularly, the local police did not have any wrongdoings in the process of investigation. No police officers and soldiers were injured on duty.

For the fruitful results, 1,238 groups and 4,511 individuals of the Lao Cai police forces were honored and rewarded by the central and local government during the period of time. The Lao Cai Provincial Police Department has honorably received the Emulation Flag from the Government and the MPS for five consecutive years while the Party organization of the Lao Cai police won the title “Party organization with excellent task accomplishment”

At the congress, delegates focused on discussing issues and contributing ideas to the draft political reports as well as voted for objectives, tasks and working solutions for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung asked the Party Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department to continue leading the local police forces to successfully perform their tasks and overcome their shortcomings as well as to ensure political security, social order and safety. Particularly, the provincial police should effectively implement the Party Congress’s Resolutions and launch campaigns against crime of all kinds.
